Making Sourdough Less Scary

My Favorite Sourdough Recipes

My favorite sourdough recipes are the classic Sourdough Bread and the unique Sourdough Pancakes. The classic Sourdough Bread recipe is a favorite because of its simplicity and authenticity. It requires only three ingredients: sourdough starter, flour, and salt; yet the result is a loaf with a beautifully crisp crust and a soft, chewy interior that’s full of flavor. On the other hand, the Sourdough Pancakes recipe is a delightful twist on traditional pancakes. The sourdough starter gives the pancakes a slightly tangy flavor that pairs wonderfully with sweet maple syrup. Plus, they have an incredibly light and fluffy texture that you can’t achieve with regular pancake batter. These recipes showcase the versatility of sourdough and are a testament to why it’s my favorite type of bread.

Courtney sitting on the ground with 3 baskets of bread around here

Hi, it’s nice to meet you!

Hi, I’m Courtney! I’m wild for Jesus, my husband and our 3 babies. We homeschool, hike and have learned to grow food in a tiny backyard. My goal is to help you find joy and be productive wherever you are and make sourdough a little less scary.

When I first started my sourdough bread journey, the internet was my best friend. I didn’t buy any courses or participate in any classes. I learned everything I know by watching videos, following like-minded accounts on social media, reading blogs and following easy, beginner friendly recipes. This bloomed into my desire for this space. A place to learn, make mistakes, learn some more, and encourage you to have fun on your own journey of learning to bake bread. There is just nothing that says “I love you” like a freshly baked loaf of bread.
