This year was filled with growing pains and belly laughs. Baking bread and burning bread.

I cared about things enough to cry about it.

I was hugged in the kitchen for no reason.

Breathing treatments, ambulance rides, road trips, mountain views, fishing boats, Airbnb’s, camping tents, meetings, contracts, rejection letters, open doors, tears and smiles. And I got to work with my mom every single day.

I got to make mistakes, and I got to be loved. I taught and I learned.

I can still scan a room and find Ryan every time. A year full of deep breaths and knee prints.

Thank you, Jesus, for another year of nothing going as planned. Another year I’m grateful for. Another year I’ll never forget.

This year, we met so many people. Whether it was at the Pinner’s conference teaching a class, or local markets selling our bread, we loved being with our community. 8,790 of our products were packaged and shipped with love from Acts of Sourdough “headquarters”. Our sourdough starter is officially in all 50 states. What an honor. It’s been a whirlwind of a year doing all the things we love side by side, as a mother-daughter duo.

We’ve laughed and learned through so many opportunities that are only possible because you guys showed up and believed in my starter and our bread. You have no idea what this year has meant to me. It has catapulted dreams that I never thought were possible. And it’s all because of some flour and water.

Our goals for the new year are bold, audacious and faith driven. Much like all of our business decisions with Acts of Sourdough.

In 2025 we plan to open up our space to the community more often for fundraisers, markets, sunsets and coffee, sourdough pickups, weekend classes, and specialty monthly bread drops. I (Courtney) am working toward growing my social media platforms so I can be creative with recipe development. It’s my passion to share with you all the sourdough dishes that you can share with your own family.

Our (my mom & I) desire is to connect more face to face with our community through bread and Jesus. Everything we do at Acts of Sourdough is to glorify Him and love on you.

My mom and I are so excited for this next year.

Thank you for being here, and we’ll see you soon!

xo, Courtney & Beth.
