โค๏ธ Why You’ll Love Peach Sourdough Brie Bake
Think of this as more of a base recipe that I gave you flavor inspiration for. If you have a loaf of bread and a wheel of brie cheese, you can make this into whatever creation you want. Use seasonal ingredients all year, and you have something special that your friends and family will say “wow, you made that?” every time. This is an impressive, deliciously elevated but simple loaf of bread to share.
๐ฒ Ingredients
Sourdough – Loaf of homemade sourdough bread is easier to work with because you can score and shape it into the exact size you need. But you also don’t run the risk of over baking the loaf when it’s homemade because you control the time in the oven.
Brie Cheese – I find that an 8oz wheel works best for this recipe. The Costco size is just a little bit too big, and I found that out the hard way through experience.
Jam – I use peach jalapeno jam; it’s seasonal and on theme for this recipe. But use your favorite!
Peaches – Choosing your peaches- look for vibrant colors: yellow, red and pink. Squeeze & sniff- If it’s ripe, the peach will have some give and smell sweet. Peaches will last 3-4 days on the counter… a few days longer in the fridge.
Jalapenos – Sticking to the theme of sweet and spicy, I like to use candied jalapenos because I’m a little bit of a baby when it comes to spice. But if you like regular jalapenos you can definitely use those for more of a spicy than sweet flavor!
๐ฉโ๐ณ How to Make Sourdough Brie Bake
- Start by baking your homemade sourdough bread in a 450 degree Dutch oven with the lid on for 30 minutes. This will get it crispy and mostly cooked through so that we are able to cut the top off for the brie wheel.
- After 30 minutes, carefully remove your bread from the Dutch oven. Place your brie wheel over the top of the bread and using a sharp knife, cut a circle out of the top that is the same size as the cheese. Remove the bread from the center and set aside.
- Remove the plastic from the cheese, and use a knife to score the top in a diagonal across the entire surface of the wheel.
- Place the scored brie wheel inside of the hole made in the inside of the bread. Brush the jalapeno peach jam on top and spread evenly around. Thinly slice your peaches and place those in a circle on top of the jam. Lastly, place the candied jalapenos in the center of the peaches, on top of the jam.
- Leaving it on the parchment paper, carefully transfer the bread back into the Dutch oven.
- Bake at 450 with the lid off for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is melty, and the bread is crispy.
- Serve immediately while it’s warm and the cheese melts out. Serve with the bread that was previously cut from the top, and extra crackers! and enjoy ๐

๐ How to Store Leftovers
I’m just going to be honest with you that it is pretty difficult to save the leftovers of this bread because of the cheese aspect, so you’re just going to have to eat the whole thing! But if you do want to try and save it, place the bread into a Ziplock bag and store on the counter in a bread box for 1-2 days, and warm up before serving again!
