🍲 Ingredients
Sourdough Loaf– This can really be made with any kind of loaf of bread, but if you make sourdough from scratch, I’ve linked my recipe here to use as a reference!
Brie cheese – 8 oz wheel of brie cheese, but keep in mind that quality matters with the flavor or meltiness of the cheese. So, make sure to get a good quality brie!
Bacon – 4 -6 pieces of cooked, crispy bacon
Maple syrup – I like to use Kirkland’s organic maple syrup but use whatever maple syrup you have on hand!
Nuts – Walnuts are optional but would definitely elevate the flavors!

👩🍳 How to Make Maple Bacon Brie Baked Sourdough
- Start with making and baking your sourdough bread. When there is 10 minutes left, remove your bread and let cool for 15 minutes.
- Cook your bacon however you like best.
- When your bread has cooled, remove your brie from the packaging and using your bread knife, cut a circle into the top of your bread that is the shape of the cheese. Remove the top of the bread and place on the side.
- With a knife, score the top of the brie in a checkered pattern and place into the open space of the bread.
- Melt maple syrup and brown sugar in a saucepan on the stove over medium low heat for 2 -3 minutes. Chop your bacon into small pieces and add to the pan. Cook everything together for another 2 minutes until all the bacon is coated, then turn off the heat. (add nuts here if you like).
- Top your brie with the maple bacon mixture, and carefully transfer your loaf to a Dutch oven. Place the lid on top to prevent the bacon from burning.
- Preheat your oven to 400 and bake for 15 – 20 minutes until the cheese is nice and melty.
